Foothills Gives to the Community.

|
National Bookmark Outreach Program We started our participation in this EGA National Program at our January 2011 meeting. By our May distribution
we had 166 stitched bookmarks - this was the second highest number of bookmarks made by region chapters.
In May, we distributec
the bookmarks to four different local centers. McClain Community High School, Literacy Coalition of Colorado--Family Literacy
Program, The Tennyson Center (a live in center for children) and to Easter Seals for Teens.

Foothills Chapter has several continuous outreach
projects. Knitted caps of all sizes, knitted scarves, mittens, slippers, preemie gowns, booties, sweaters and afghans
are delivered several times of year to Denver Medical Center. Adult size scarves and mittens often are delivered to the Salvation
Army. Wiggies are knitted for cancer patients and food and other items are collected for Jeffco Action Center. All members
are urged to participate in these ongoing projects and new projects are added as the need arises. Pictures here show outreach items donated at various meetings. Click in picture for larger view.
